Bolo de Leite Condensado (Brazilian Condensed Milk Cake)

This easy Brazilian cake is prepared in a blender. It’s a lovely, slightly richer, and creamier version of a light sponge. It’s perfect for a snack or with afternoon tea! The can of sweetened condensed milk can be used to measure the regular milk as well.

Ingredients

  • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 14 fluid ounces milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9-inch tube pan.
  2. Place condensed milk, milk, eggs, and butter in a blender; blend until well-combined. Add flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt; blend until cake batter is smooth. Pour into prepared cake pan.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, about 40 minutes.
